Congratulations to Yahoo!

I haven’t posted here in a while for obvious reasons but I wanted to make a quick post congratulating Yahoo on releasing their first public beta of the new Messenger client for Vista. I’ve tried it out and it seems really stable from what I’ve seen. Go download it and take it for a test drive!

I’m Joining Adobe

I have accepted the position of Platform Evangelist at Adobe. You can read the full details about the move here. I plan on leaving this blog up as an archive because it contains a lot of code samples that people may find helpful. But the reality is that I won’t be doing any WPF development (obviously) in my new position so I probably won’t have anything to post here. I will however be keeping up on all the latest technologies including those being developed by Microsoft.

Hope I see some of you at conferences or other tech gatherings!

Thanks,
Lee

Cool New WPF Tutorial Site

Just found out about nibblestutorials.net which seems to be a really cool for learning about Blend, WPF, and Silverlight. More importantly this is one of the cooler all-Silverlight sites that I have seen come out. Check it out!

Mix 07 Video Finally Posted

They have finally posted the video from our presentation at Mix in Vegas. The actual video is somewhat small but you also get to see all of our slides as well. I’m looking forward to seeing the reMix session video since there was a much more lively crowd there. Click on the image below to check out the presentation.

reMix Source Code Available Now!

I mentioned during my presentations in Australia and Singapore that I would post all of the source code to the prototypes that I showed and I have finally done it. I obviously cannot post the source to the two Yahoo! Messenger examples that were shown, but the rest can be found in this ZIP file.

A couple of things to mention. I did not include any of the video files that were a part of the examples simply because it would take too much bandwidth. In the source you can just change the path to a local video file on your machine and things should work fine.

In addition to the source files I am also posting the PowerPoint deck from my presentation.

Enjoy and thanks again for coming to reMix!
